To everyone in Chicagoland and beyond....if you are aware of anyone with a newly acquired African Gray Parrot, or have recently purchased one from an individual, petshop, etc, PLEASE check to see if it could be Kramer and notify Ron and Marcia. Kramer has a habit of plucking at his chest and shoulder feathers (wings), so they appear a bit “fuzzy”. He does not fly. He has a very good sense of humor and has a huge vocabulary. He doesn't respond to any commands but if you eat in front of him 9 times out of 10 he will ask, "Mmm. Is that good?" Of course he's probably so freaked out now he won't talk for weeks......
To bird club members, breeders, pet shops, vets, etc....please be alert to, and suspicious of anyone trying to sell, inquire about, seek medical treatment, etc, for a newly acquired African Grey! If you plan on attending a bird fair near you, please print and bring Kramer's reward poster (link in right hand column). He could be there! Pet Shops & Vets: please check your bulletin boards for any African Greys For Sale.
Just days after Marcia was released from the hospital with a cancer scare, her and Ron’s home was burglarized on Friday Nov 24 2006. In addition to some material objects, GONE was their beloved family member, Kramer, turning their lives upside down once again.
